Why we exist
Semiconductor hiring has a strange gap. There is an enormous amount of material on how a PLL works or what UVM phasing does — and almost nothing on what a Qualcomm testbench round actually feels like, which questions get asked at which experience level, or how to talk about a debug you spent three weeks on.
This started as 1:1 mentorship. One engineer, a handful of mentees, a shared study plan and a lot of mock interviews. The plans kept working, so we turned them into a product: the same roadmaps, the same assignments, the same question bank — and the same mentors, now bookable by anyone.
The promise is narrow on purpose. We are not a course platform and we are not a job board. We take you from “I know the theory” to “I can defend it under pressure in an interview loop”.
How it works
Follow a roadmap
A month-by-month plan for your domain so you always know what to do next instead of guessing.
Build and drill
Hands-on coding assignments with reference solutions, plus a question bank organised by sub-domain and experience level.
Prove it in a mock
Book a 1:1 mock interview with a working engineer, get a scored rubric, then fix the specific gaps it exposes.
What we hold ourselves to
Original content only
Every question, guide and study plan is written or curated by engineers who have actually sat on both sides of the table. We don't scrape other prep sites, and we don't republish anyone else's material.
No AI answering for you
There is no AI mock interviewer and no AI grader here. Interviews are judged by humans, so your feedback comes from humans too. AI can't tell you why your testbench reasoning wouldn't survive a debug round.
Mentors are practitioners
Mentors are working DV, RTL and physical-design engineers, not full-time coaches. They review applications, keep 60% of every session fee, and are rated by the people they actually mentored.
Depth over breadth
We went deep on Design Verification first — Digital, Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM — rather than shipping thin coverage of twelve domains. The rest follow the same bar or they don't ship.

Jatinkumar Koshiya

Ex-NVIDIA · Ex-Intel · Ex-TCS · M.Tech VLSI, Nirma University
Jatin verifies cutting-edge silicon on Microsoft’s AI SoC (AISoC) team, and has shipped IP and super-block verification at Microsoft, NVIDIA and Intel — from GPU memory subsystems to SmartNIC/IPU packet-processing IP — in SystemVerilog and UVM.
He has mentored engineers for years — reviewing applications, running mock interviews and coaching careers for a 16k+ community on LinkedIn and his “VLSI with Jatin” channel. VLSI Mentoring grew straight out of that 1:1 mentorship: the same roadmaps, assignments and mocks, now open to everyone.

Design Verification is the deepest track today. RTL Design and Physical Design & STA are next, followed by DFT and Analog / Mixed-Signal. Tracks marked “coming soon” stay that way until the content clears the same bar as DV — we would rather ship late than ship thin.
