Interview process

Analog loops open with a resume-led hiring-manager round, then circuit-heavy technical rounds. Block-level circuit design carries the most weight, followed by device/layout/noise reasoning, with silicon-debug stories throughout.

    Resume-led screen that also samples circuits and behavioral signal

    What they ask
    • Walk through your resume, then a block you designed (~70–80%)
    • Your specific role and responsibilities versus the team's
    • A quick device or op-amp question (~10%)
    • One or two behavioral prompts — ownership, deadlines (~10%)

    • Design an amplifier, bandgap, or reference
    • Small-signal gain, bandwidth, and phase margin

    • Feedback, stability, and compensation

How to prepare

  • Resume stories: rehearse a block you designed end to end and lead with your own role, not the team's.
  • Circuits: derive small-signal gain, bandwidth, and phase margin on a whiteboard.
  • Architectures: know one converter and one PLL deeply enough to defend the choice.
  • Physical: understand matching (common-centroid, dummies) and noise budgeting.
  • Debug: prepare a silicon story — a measured failure you traced to a circuit cause.
